Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is an indie point-and-click horror game by Scott Cawthon. It is the sequel to Five Nights at Freddy's.

Thirty years after Freddy Fazbear's Pizza closed its doors, the events that took place there have become nothing more than a rumor and a childhood memory, but the owners of "Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction" are determined to revive the legend and make the experience as authentic as possible for patrons, going to great lengths to find anything that might have survived decades of neglect and ruin.

At first there were only empty shells, a hand, a hook, an old paper-plate doll, but then a remarkable discovery was made...

The attraction now has one animatronic.

Scott first revealed a few teasers for the game, most including Spring-Trap, and uploaded it to Steam Greenlight. Scott later released the trailer and a few more teasers. The game was eventually released for Steam, then Android, then iOS.

The gameplay differs greatly than that of the first and second games. Lights and doors are no longer included, but there are now two monitors. The first, the normal monitor, is very similar to the monitors from the first two games, but has three added mechanics; sealing a vent, switching between room and vent mode, and playing audio clips to lure Spring-Trap to a certain room. The second monitor, the maitenance panel, lets you fix an error, which can be simplified by pressing the reboot all button if more than one error is occuring at once. Errors are caused if a Phantom Animatronics jumpscares you, or it is randomly caused.

  • This is the first game where a corpse of a deceased human is confirmed to be inside an animatronic suit; the Purple Guy is inside of Spring-Trap.
  • This game has minigames like the second game, though they are simply titled "minigames" this time.
  • Scott voices two characters this time, both the Phone Guy and the Phone Dude.
